BPESA Recognises Rewardsco Talent in Voices of GBS Youth Campaign

Youth development isn’t simply a CSR initiative. It’s a business strategy.

Every great customer experience begins with great people.

Whether supporting customer acquisition, retention, collections or customer service, the quality of every customer interaction ultimately depends on the capability, confidence and growth of the people delivering it.

That is why Rewardsco believes building exceptional talent is just as important as delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

This commitment has recently been recognised through the BPESA Voices of GBS Youth Campaign, which celebrates young professionals whose careers demonstrate the life-changing opportunities created by South Africa’s Global Business Services (GBS) sector.

Several Rewardsco employees were selected to share their personal journeys as part of this national campaign – stories that reflect resilience, growth, leadership and the transformational power of meaningful employment.

For us, these stories represent something bigger than individual success.

They demonstrate how investing in people creates stronger teams, better customer experiences and more valuable partnerships for the organisations we serve.

Celebrating the People Behind Great Customer Experiences

Every organisation wants consistent customer experiences.

That consistency comes from investing in the people responsible for delivering them every day.

The Rewardsco employees featured by BPESA each represent a different pathway of growth within our business.

Amber Pretorius

Amber’s journey reflects how opportunity, mentorship and determination can accelerate leadership within the BPO industry.

Today she leads as a Sales Manager, inspiring others through the same support that helped shape her own career.

Her story reminds us that investing in people creates future leaders.

Noah Pillay

“I started as an anxious dialler. Now I lead teams.”

Fresh out of school, Noah entered the industry with little experience but a willingness to learn.

Today, as a Sales Operations Manager, his journey demonstrates how confidence is developed through consistent support, coaching and practical experience.

It also reflects one of the defining strengths of South Africa’s outsourcing sector—creating leadership opportunities based on potential rather than prior experience.

Sbusiso Khanyile

Growth often begins with a single opportunity.

Sbusiso’s journey highlights how technical capability, determination and continuous learning can open doors into specialised technology leadership within the GBS sector.

As an IT Service Management Consultant, he represents the diverse career pathways available beyond traditional contact centre roles.

Wendile Zikhali

Few stories capture the social impact of employment as powerfully as Wendile’s.

In less than a year she progressed from unemployment during COVID-19 to becoming a Sales Manager, purchasing her first vehicle and helping renovate her mother’s home.

Her journey demonstrates how meaningful employment creates ripple effects that extend beyond individuals to families and communities.

Sibusiso Vilakazi

“As long as you have breath in your lungs, you have the opportunity to make a difference in your own life or in someone else’s.”

These words, shared with Sibusiso by his grandmother, continue to guide the way he supports others today.

After nine years with Rewardsco, he now helps shape the next generation of talent as a Training and Development Facilitator, bringing empathy, knowledge and encouragement into every training session.

His story reflects the culture of learning and continuous development that sits at the heart of our business.

Why This Matters to Our Clients

For organisations considering an outsourcing partner, technology and infrastructure are only part of the equation.

The real differentiator is people.

Clients need partners capable of attracting, developing and retaining talented individuals who represent their brands with professionalism, empathy and consistency.

The stories recognised by BPESA demonstrate that Rewardsco continues to invest in the people who ultimately deliver our clients’ customer experiences every day.

That investment contributes to:

  • Higher employee engagement
  • Stronger leadership pipelines
  • Better customer conversations
  • Improved service quality
  • Long-term operational stability
  • Consistent customer experience delivery

For enterprise organisations, these aren’t simply culture initiatives, they are commercial advantages.

South Africa’s GBS Sector Continues to Create Opportunity

South Africa has become one of the world’s leading destinations for business process outsourcing because of its exceptional people.

The country’s Global Business Services sector continues to create meaningful employment opportunities while developing highly skilled professionals capable of supporting customers across multiple international markets.

Campaigns such as BPESA’s Voices of GBS Youth help showcase the human stories behind this success and reinforce the industry’s role in driving inclusive economic growth, skills development and career progression.

Rewardsco is proud to contribute to that broader industry mission by creating opportunities that help people build sustainable careers while delivering exceptional outcomes for clients around the world.

Building Better Futures Together

At Rewardsco, we believe business growth and people growth should never be separated.

Every investment we make in developing our people strengthens our ability to help clients acquire customers, improve customer experience, protect revenue and build lasting customer relationships.

Congratulations once again to Amber Pretorius, Noah Pillay, Sbusiso Khanyile, Wendile Zikhali and Sibusiso Vilakazi on representing both Rewardsco and the wider South African GBS sector so proudly through BPESA’s Voices of GBS Youth Campaign.

Their journeys remind us that when people are given opportunity, they don’t just transform their own futures – they help transform the businesses and communities around them.
